Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Do you every get tired?
I already know the answer to that question before I even ask it. Yes! We all get tired sometimes.
As a teacher, this time of the year is pretty stressful. We have tests being given, kids trying to get finished, and we are tired. Sometimes, if we are honest with ourselves, we are ready to quit.
We have finished enough of the year that we can almost see the finish line ahead of us, but there is still working to be done.
Life is like this for all of us. There will come a time in your life, if it hasn’t already, when you will get tired of doing all the things you do. Sometimes it will be physically, and sometimes it will even be spiritually.
These are the times when we need to dig our heals in and get to work. God has given us His word as a guide. He has given us a tool to get us through those tough times. He even gives us examples to live by.
Romans 12:12 says:
“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.”
Psalms 31:24 tells us:
“Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord .”
And finally Jesus tells us in Matthew 11:28:
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
God knew when He created us that we would need encouragement and a nudge to keep going. He has equipped us with all that we need if we will just use it.
I pray today that you will find what you need in these words. Take these verses and hide them in your heart.
