Encouraging the Encouragers

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:

it shall not return unto me void,

but it shall accomplish that which I please,

and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

Isaiah 55:11

Good morning my fellow bloggers!

Sssshhhhhh, do not tell anyone, but today, this blog is just for you. ( We will be nice though, and share it with everyone else.)

Do you ever get tired?

Do you ever run out of things to say?

Do you sit down to write and all you hear are the chirping crickets?

Surely I am not the only one who has ever had this happen.

Today I want to take a minute and encourage those who spend their time encouraging others.

First, let me just say, “Great job!” I sit down from time to time and look through some of the blogs that you have posted and I am amazed at the work that I see God doing. I feel so blessed to be a part of such a great group of fellow believers.

Next, I just wanted to take a quick minute and offer some encouragement to you, the writer of this great material. I know how hard it can be when life gets crazy, or when unexpected things happen, to find the inspiration to write. We have to remember that we are not in this alone. If you are a Christian and you feel that you have been called by God to share His word, then you have His blessing. God will give you the words to say, even when you feel like you have nothing left to give.

Remember, you have no idea who will read what you post from day to day, and you have no idea how God will take that and use it for His honor and glory. There will be people who read what God gives to you, and will say to themselves, “That was just for me.” God is amazing in that way.

I pray that we will all remain faithful to our callings. I pray that we remember why we started writing in the first place, whether it be to inform,  to encourage, or to inspire.

In closing, let me just say kudos to each and every one of you who work every day to share the word of God with the world around us. I look forward to what the future holds for each of us, and I look forward to sharing many more memories with you in the future.

God bless each and every one of you this morning.

In Christ,

Valarie

    • Girl, I completely understand! I have been doing the same thing this week. between kids, the garden, and house work, I am running overtime. I am glad that I could offer a little encouragement in the middle of your madness 🙂

  1. Thank you very much for posting this. I always think I am a natural encourager and therefore often finds strength in encouragement from others too. But I find that in this world, encouragement is not always freely given and we so often look at the negative side of things instead of the positive one. I sometimes then get discouraged and wish for someone to say words of encouragement to me as much as I give. I know what I have is a gift from God too but so often the world of an encourager can be a lonely one too. So what you wrote… it feels like someone truly understand. Thank you.

    • I am so glad it was a blessing to your heart! I understand what you mean about being an encourager, that is the reason I wrote this post. Every one of us needs to be encouraged and that what exactly what I wanted to do in this post. God bless you as you encourage those around you!

  2. Valarie, what a refreshing word today or tonight for me to retire on . . .I spend most mornings asking God . . . What can I do, I say, I write that will encourage others, lift You up, and glorify You. When the demands of life get to me and I have to turn away from the Lord and do them . . . ie laundry, shopping, etc. . . I get sad. Because all I want to do is read, study and write. When my mind pulls a blank I just think God wants me to digest what I have learned until such time I can write about it. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. ~ Blessings ~

    • Thank you for the kinds words. I am learning that there are times when we need to be still and listen, I have discovered that at times I try too hard. I am learning that if I will just write what God gives to me and not over think it, then it always touches the heart of the people it was meant for. I love your work and I pray that God will continue to bless you!

Thank you for the encouragement, I needed it today especially. We found out this afternoon that Gordon will need another heart procedure and I was crying out to God, I NEED YOU! on the way to the hospital. I know God wants me to share that with others today. I must continue to encourage others to cry out to God, He will answer them and help them.
    Love you sister – Edyce

    • Please let Gordan know that we are going to be praying for him. I pray you found comfort in knowing that God hears our cries. Hang on to Romans 8:26 and remember that when we do not know how to pray The Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groans. Wow! Such a powerful verse! I will be praying for you too.
