Urgent Prayer Request: Update on Garet

Update: Garets parents said that yesterday was very rough for him. Due to the surgery, he was sick most of the day. Please help us pray that God will bring peace, comfort, and rest to this little boys body.

Next week Garet and his family will meet with the tumor board to see what kind of cancer he has. The doctors said they have never seen it before. We serve a mighty God! We know that He is the great physician, and He is not puzzled or surprised, His plan is perfect.

Thank you all for praying over this family with me. Please continue to hold them up in prayer. I will update as I get more information.

God bless you.

Dear Friends,

I would like to ask you to join me in praying for a little boy in our community named Garet. He is undergoing very extensive surgery today to remove a tumor on his brain. Please help me hold him, his family, and the doctors involved up in prayer today. We are trusting God in this situation. This family is a precious family in your community and I told them that I would be sharing this request with my readers. If you would like to leave them a message or comment, you are welcome to do that here and I will be more than happy to pass it along to them. Thank you in advance for your prayers. I believe that as fellow believers we are called to lift each other up in prayer.

God bless you all today!

What Have You Done For Him Lately?

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you,

whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine,

you did for me.”

                                                                                                    Matthew 25:40

helping hands

The Lord laid this Scripture on my heart this morning and I wanted to share it with you.

We are coming to the end of another week. For most of us the weekend will be a time to relax and spend time doing what we want to do.

I would like to present you with a challenge this weekend:

I would like for all of us to keep our eyes open to the needs of those around us.

I know this may sound like a simple task. You are probably thinking the same thing I did when God first laid this on my heart, “I do that every day.” I am sure that in your every day life, at some time during your day, you are meeting the needs of other people.

I want us to take it a step farther this weekend. Go above and beyond the call of duty this time. Look for a way to share God’s love with someone by meeting a need.

1. If you go out to eat, leave an extra tip.

2. If you see someone struggling to load their groceries, help.

3. If there is someone you know that needs an extra hand up, meet that need.

I believe that there are so many ways that we could help each other out every day, but some times we get so busy in our own problems, or just the business of life that we fail to notice those around us that are struggling every day.

I pray that we will all take time out of our busy schedules to help someone else. I know it is easy to get so caught up in our own lives that we tend to forget about the needs of others, but I really believe that God has given me this Scripture today for a reason.

I have accepted this challenge today.

Will you join me?

“Then he will answer them, saying,

‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these,

you did not do it to me.”

Motivational Monday: Blessed Beyond Belief

blessed

I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations. Psalm 89:1

Have you ever just stopped to think about how blessed you really are? I know that as life gets busy we can sometimes forget to thank God for all the blessings that He bestows upon us each day.

I want us to focus today on recognizing God’s blessings on our lives and taking time to thank Him for all that He does for us.

As I was writing this morning, this song came to my mind and I want to share it with you. I have included the lyrics and a link to a video I think you would enjoy watching:

“Thank You Lord For Your Blessings On Me” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0svXA-oRTk

While the world looks upon me
as I struggle along
They say I have  nothing
but they are so wrong
In my heart I’m rejoicing
how I wish  they could see
Thank you Lord for your blessings on me

Chorus:
Cause there’s a roof up above me
I’ve a good place to sleep
There’s  food on my table
and shoes on my feet
You gave me your love Lord
and a fine family
Thank you Lord for your blessings on me

I know  I’m not wealthy
and these clothes they’re not new
And I don’t have much  money
but Lord I have you
And that’s all that matters
though the  world may not see
Thank you Lord for your blessings on me

Chorus:
There’s a roof up above me I’ve a good place to sleep
There’s  food on my table and shoes on my feet
You gave me your love Lord and a fine  family
And I thank you Lord for your blessings on me

I pray today that you will take a minute to count your blessings. Take a moment to thank God from whom all blessing flow, because without Him we would be hopeless creatures wondering this world alone.

I would love to hear your story about how God is blessing your life? Feel free to leave a comment below.

God Bless you today!
